More About Julia

Growing up in St. John’s, NL, I had a very busy and active childhood. At the age of 4, I started taking dance classes and I have been dancing ever since. I kept busy with extracurricular activities like swimming, skating, gymnastics and soccer - which I continued to play competitively for several years. I loved playing team sports in school, like basketball, volleyball and cheerleading. Movement was a large part of my daily routine. 

As I grew older, I pursued my passion for performing. I would spend hours in the dance studio almost every night of the week. I started going to the gym during high school and I became very conscious of my food choices. It got to the point where I was severely undereating and over exercising and I was in denial about the amount of weight I had lost. In 2014, I moved to Toronto to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theatre Performance. During my first year of college, I gained 20lbs.

As a stressed out student, I turned to food for comfort and I barely went to the gym. I had no concept of self-care and my confidence and self-worth were at a low. I moved to downtown Toronto after graduation and continued living an unhealthy lifestyle. Stress eating, no routine, late nights and lots of partying. I went to audition after audition, feeling uncomfortable in my body and I didn’t feel like myself anymore. My outlook on life was negative, which greatly impacted my attitude. I finally reached a breaking point and I knew I had enough.

In 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I moved back home to Newfoundland and Labrador. In the midst of gym closures, I had a lot of time to self-reflect. I knew that a change was essential if I wanted to be happy and live my best life. I continued to exercise from home and I began to eat mindfully. After a few months of my consistent efforts, I noticed a shift. I felt physically, mentally & emotionally stronger. My passion for health and wellness grew and I decided that I wanted to become an Online Coach. I acquired my certifications in ISSA Certified Personal Training, Online Coaching and Precision Nutrition. 

Committing to a healthier lifestyle has completely changed my life. Once I realized that I needed to be kinder to myself and treat my body better, self-growth became my priority. I have learned that showing up for yourself and following through on the actions that you have set out to achieve, builds self-confidence and trust in oneself. 

Taking care of my mind, body and soul has helped me become the best version of myself.

I am able to give 100% to my work and to my personal relationships because I put myself as a first priority everyday. I am passionate about helping people and inspiring them to live their happiest and healthiest lives. My goal is to help you create a healthy lifestyle that you enjoy. I want you to show up as your brightest, most authentic self, which will ultimately improve all aspects of your life.
